The Mystick Aquarium is next door to the Old Village so we went to the Aquarium where we enjoyed watching them feed the Beluga Whales. The trainer had the whale talking to her and doing all kinds of tricks. Amazing to see such a large animal jump out of the water and clap. Inside, we saw tanks filled with all kinds of colorful fish - I think the assortment of jelly fish were the most colorful.

From there we headed to the Seaport where we actually walked onto the deck of the Charles W.Morgan whaling ship built in 1841 and now being refurbished. It is scheduled to be put back into the water on July 21st this year. The guide gave us the entire history of the ship and actually told us why Hudson NY (close to where I grew up) was actually known as a whaling city. Because whale oil was such a valuable commodity during its time, the ships were not safe when close to the ocean. Moving them 100 miles up the Hudson made it much more difficult for thepirates providing them safety as they unloaded their cargo.
The Seaport is set up just as it was in its glory days with all the buildings and shops one would find in the mid 1800s. We especially enjoyed seing the tall ships anchored in the harbor.

We have a few morer days left here before moving to Cape Cod. Because we do not have good Internet connectivity at this campground, I am having difficulty loading the pictures I want so please bear with me.
Life continues to be good. Our garden of friends continues to grow...
