Memorial Day

We arrived at Deer Haven Campground in Lisbon CT on Tue., May 21st, when the temperature was 87 degrees.  Although the weather the rest of the week was rainy and cold, we have enjoyed our visit meeting new friends - planting more flowers in my "Garden of Life."

Saturday night they had a special Memorial Day service honoring the 15 veterans staying at the campground.  It really was quite nice.

Sunday was cold and windy so we drove to Glastonbury to watch Tyler play soccer.  Well, actually I watched Tyler while Grandpa pushed Samantha on the swing.

Later, we went to a picnic at one of the campsites near us.  Today will be a day we catch up on some things around the camper - maybe even get to sit around the campfire tonight.  We will actually begin our sightseeing tomorrow.

Life is good.
